These gently moody dark red plates are to date my favorite handmade version of the cloud plate design that I developed for production. It was a project years in the making, and riddled with interesting problems. These ones, for example, are an early version, and they stack to each other fairly well. They are wonderfully curvy and thick, with unobtrusive marks from the woodfiring.

Price is for the pair: 10” wide, 1 1/2” tall, with a rounded central area that dips down as if it were a very shallow bowl.
