It’s always fun to see people’s work come out of the woodkilns, how clays with similar qualities speak to each other, and how the work of one particular maker speaks amongst itself. This group of 8 to 10 bowls came from the East Creek Anagama. I made them of Helmar porcelain, my favorite, and they are toasty warm with shell marks and yellow ash.

each one fits comfortably in the hand, about 7” at the wings, their widest, 5” otherwise, and about 2” tall.
